Our Rutland Water hire fleet includes standard mountain bikes, comfortable hybrid bikes, electric bikes, tandems and kids’ bikes. We also hire child seats, buggies, comfy gel saddle covers and helmets.

Our hire bicycles are brand new, current season models from premium brands, all expertly maintained so you can enjoy the ride all day long. We’ve hired over 1 million bikes since 1981, so you know you are in safe hands.

Rutland route maps

At Normanton, you’re spoilt for choice, with up to 23 miles of traffic-free cycling.

When you arrive, we’ll give you a map and talk you through the route options, including 4 to 8 mile family-friendly trails, taking in adventure playgrounds, cafes, sandy beach, Bugtopia zoo and mini golf; the idyllic peninsula section; the 17-mile lap of the lake, with plenty of picnic or pub stops en route; or for the most adventurous, the full 23-mile trail.
