Bike Builder, Manton
We are currently recruiting to this key role at our distribution centre in Manton, Rutland where we offer our customers a first-class service in the build, repair and despatch of bikes.

IT Technician, Burrough on the Hill

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to help deal with day-to-day issues experienced by our IT team. This includes ensuring software is up to date, IT hardware is configured to user specification and being a point of call for day-to-day IT support queries. You will be a champion in ensuring the business has a highly technical, reliable and supportive IT Team and you will have a calm, friendly, approachable and understandable nature to our colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end users across a variety of locations. Ensuring tickets are regularly updated with latest & new information
- Installing and configuring a wide variety of hardware and software and ensure these are working optimally
- Maintain and repair hardware and software and ensure hardware is fit for purpose for the end user
- Monitor and maintain internet services, firewalls, and telephone systems and ensure users can use the systems as expected
- Configure, deploy, return laptops and desktops and ensure these are delivered and returned by specified deadlines. Ensure the asset list is consistently up to date
- Maintain IT documentation
- Support the roll out of new systems and applications. Work with stores and end users and agree timescales for deployment
- Setting up accounts and profiles and resolving password issues on a variety of systems such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, financial systems such as PayPal and retail systems such as Salesforce
- On-site support in a retail environment. You’re able to attend head office twice a week and other sites upon request
- Be a figure in IT Support for the business using a variety of means such as Helpdesk, Video Calling, Telephone and 1-2-1 support
- Perform physical tasks such as moving/tidying IT equipment, patching in network ports and ensure IT equipment is disposed of, if it’s no longer fit for use
- Support the growth of the business by contributing to ideas, process changes and recommending improvements to how IT is delivered to the IT & Systems Manager
- Work with Third Party support companies to ensure a resolution is made for the end user
- Alert the IT & Systems Manager and IT Systems Technician to any security alerts, threats and compromises. Can take immediate action in the event of a breach (training will be provided)
- Any other reasonable tasks upon the request of the IT & Systems Manager
You must:
- Have a passion for IT with a result oriented and proactive mind-set
- Be comfortable interacting with a wide range of people at all different abilities as well as computers
- Have a full UK driving license
- Be positive and enthusiastic, and able to think logically with excellent problem-solving skills
- Possess excellent customer service and good verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical users
- Be able to work on your own initiative, with good time management skills and able to ‘think on your feet’
- Work well under pressure whilst keeping a calm temperament
- Be willing to constantly adapt, learn and share your knowledge between the team
- Be able to work well within a team environment and be an active team player

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our Giant Store at Normanton. Based at the beautiful Rutland Water Reservoir, our stores are bursting with premium bikes, clothing and accessories from your favourite cycling brands.

The Role:
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth running of shifts
- Issuing daily duties and following up to ensure completion & compliance
- Stock accuracy and amendments
- Ensuring the effective scheduling of staff, and taking action to address issues where required

- Ensuring team members are compliant with training & legality as required
- Liaising with finance department
- Assisting the Store Manager to effectively manage and maintain a profitable and sales driven store
- Working closely with all team members, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer care both in the workshop and on the sales floor.
We are looking for:
- Excellent customer service focus
- Strong market knowledge within the cycle industry (Desirable)
- Commercially astute to be able to identify & exploit opportunities given the store’s location & customer base
- Driven sales record with the desire to achieve individual and the Company goals
- Ability to deliver on store KPIs and to meet budgeted sales and profit targets
- Ability to operate at a strategic level, particularly when deputising for the store manager, including effective planning
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to assist in leading the store team and to build working relationships with senior management across the company
- A high level of self-motivation and awareness
- Proficient IT skills using EPOS and similar
- Strong retail sales background, not necessary gained in the bike industry
- Ability to deliver on store KPI’s, as well as the achievement of budgeted sales and profit targets.

The Role:
As a Workshop Manager you will manage the well-equipped workshop and repair and maintain work on a full range of bikes from entry level to high end specifications. Leading a team of qualified technicians, you will grow our workshop business by providing industry-leading quality and service.
What you'll do:
- Day-to-day management of the workshop, efficiently scheduling the workload that comes from all aspects of our hire, service and sales business
- Responsibility for the sales performance of parts related to the workshop
- Contribute to the Company workshop strategy, both providing useful feedback and enthusiastically promoting initiatives
Who we are looking for:
- Ideally you will be Cytech trained but not essential as experience is just as important
- Excellent leadership skills to be able to proactively manage a busy workshop team both collectively and individually to meet customer expectations
- Ability to schedule jobs and prioritise them to meet customer’s needs
